Kids these days....

  • Apr. 9th, 2008 at 1:18 PM
Detroit has been going through some rough times, rough enough that the mayor made national news. A high school junior has written the mayor a letter and I have to give this kid kudos. He sounds more intelligent and concerned than most adults I know.

Keep up the good work, Darnell Gardner, Jr.

Damaged landing gear

  • Feb. 22nd, 2008 at 2:38 PM
There is a plane about to land at MIA with damaged landing gear. Apparently it was diverted, but not sure from where. I know Fox News is carrying a live stream, so I would assume other networks are as well.

Edited to Add: Thankfully, it was extremely anti-climatic. The landing was the most beautiful landing I've ever seen. There was something wrong with the front landing gear, but not sure what it was. I'm just very happy for all of those people on the plane that it wasn't anything more severe than what they had to go through (man, talk about stress and fear).

Sad day for Wisconsinites

News article: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,299946,00.html

I can't believe some people. I feel so awful right now for the families in Crandon, WI. The town was under lock down this morning while police were searching for a sheriff's deputy who went on a shooting rampage early this morning. They've since found the shooter, who has been shot and killed, making the death toll seven.

This little town will never be the same again.

Good News for First Wave iPhone Buyers

  • Sep. 14th, 2007 at 11:38 PM
I recently posted this about the crappy deal first wave iPhone buyers received. Well, it seems as though Apple has realized how poorly this made them look and decided to give their loyal customers a little bit of a break. Granted, it's only a store credit, and it's only for $100, but it's better than nothing, I suppose. I still won't be buying one anytime soon.

Just how cool do you feel now?

  • Sep. 6th, 2007 at 2:53 PM
This just makes me chuckle. I suppose there is a price to pay for being the cool kid. What *really* makes me laugh about this is there was news this was going to happen even before it was released.

Of course, the price drop doesn't mean I'll be running out to buy an iPhone, old OR new.
