I almost missed this one... Something is off with this install of Semagic, and LJ lets me know too far in advance. ;)

I think I forgot to do this, probably because B and I have been busting tail trying to get these rooms taken care of before my parents are in town. I feel like such a goober now.
gan_chan, happy belated birthday! I hope it was decent to you. :)
We need to do dinner soon. Has the data center moved yet?

B and I are going out tomorrow night, sans child, to celebrate birthdays (mine was the 10th and his was the 18th) and the new job for him. I'm not sure where we're going just yet, but I think it will be Mezza Luna in Keller. Grandma is babysitting. :)
By the way, remember ages ago when I mentioned something about disclosure? Well, here it is, at least part of it.
B will be working on a new team for a new boss (currently one of the Vice Presidents of the company) on a product that has him truly excited. I'm very happy for him for many reasons. The announcement was finally made this week after nearly two months waiting.
He will be flying to New York City in December for some training and will be gone for a week. He will miss our second anniversary, but that's okay. He'll also miss part of the time my parents are here, but that's okay as well. I'm just so excited for him that he's getting to do what he really wants to do and it's a cool project as well. I'll miss him, but I'll get by, I'm sure.
Right now, the plan is for him to devote an extra day to the RDF project each week. This week is one day, next will be two days, and so on until he is completely transitioned over. I know he's worried about passing off his current projects because they're limited on people. One of his other coworkers recently left, so that leaves them short two people when they were already maxed in the first place. It will be interesting to see how this all pans out, to say the least. Of course, he has no say in the interview process, but I don't know that he really wanted it in the first place. I just hope they're able to find people who actually have a clue about software design and the product. It will make things a lot easier for everyone.

Happy Birthday to
dantex!
Even though you can be a butt nugget from time to time, I still love you, very much so. I doubt you'll see this anytime soon, but that's okay. Sophie and I will be waking you with lots of hugs and kisses tomorrow (unless, of course, you wake up before we do).

Tonight we're supposed to be going out to dinner for our birthdays (my mother-in-law and I share a birthday and B's is coming up this week). The three restaurants I tossed out for ideas are Charleston's (down on Hulen in Fort Worth, I think), PF Chang's (in Grapevine?) and The Cheesecake Factory (in Southlake). No one wants to go to Charleston's because they think it's too far away (it's no farther than PF Chang's). I think I'm holding out for TCF because according to the website, they have pumpkin cheesecake already (usually it's not available until after Halloween). Chang's would be okay, too (I could seriously dig on the Great Wall of Chocolate right now). We'll see.
B is about to head to his parents' house without us. He's going to watch the football game (yes, Cowboys and Patriots). Apparently, Detroit has a bye this week, so no football for me. I'm sure the DAL/NE game will be great, but I don't want to deal with watching Sophie over there and trying to keep her entertained and out of everyone's way (that's the tricky part). We'll just go over there later so we can all head to dinner together.
Sophie and B are singing Itsy Bitsy Spider together right now. She's hanging out in our bathroom while he's getting ready. I think she's trying to get in as much Daddy Time on the weekend as possible. It's very cute.
She was all upset with him after he got her up from her nap and put her down to walk. She likes to be held after her nap. I explained this to him and he picked her back up. As soon as he did that, she stopped crying and commenced cuddle sequence. I love it.
Alright, I need to get the kid fed and bathed. A mother's work is never done. ;)

Sorry this is so late in the day, but for some reason my Semagic isn't working properly on the laptop apparently and I'm missing birthdays left and right unless I log into my desktop PC. Oops.

Happy birthday,
mikerm19. Enjoy your day. :)
I am happy to announce that not only did the stamps arrive yesterday, but I printed out all the labels (thank you Avery Wizard!) last night and stuffed and addressed all the envelopes this morning. The invites are in the mail! Yay!
While we were in the HEB area this afternoon, we stopped in at Creative Memories to see about having a cake made for Sophie. I might actually see if I can put something together using the ladybug from the invites. I'm thinking a 1/2 sheet with half vanilla and half chocolate should be fine, unless we have a lot of regrets. I'm also not sure if I should have her smash cake made in chocolate or vanilla. I would hate to find out on her birthday that she's allergic to chocolate (she probably isn't, but still).
I need to get back up to Garden Ridge since I think I'm going to return the paper products I purchased for the party (how's that for some unintentionally fun alliteration?). I haven't decided yet, but I might replace everything with red items.
All I really have left to do after the cake is ordered and the paper products are in order is plan the food, and that's not going to be anything extravagant.

The invitations are completely assembled now. It didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would. I enjoyed making these very much (minus the trails, of course). I wish I had time (and money) to do more creative things like this. I still need to work on labels and then pop these little suckers in the mail. I should be able to get them out by Friday, and I think that should be enough time (I hope).
There were a few things I noticed after all the invitations had printed that I wish I had noticed before so I could change, such as the "Please RSVP" (it's redundant and will bother me for a long time). I also wanted to change the phone number to our house number, but it's probably just as well since our answering machine just says "bueno" and confuses many people.
Anyhow, here's the finished product:
