Sophie is sitting next to me, just chilling. All of a sudden, I get a hug out of nowhere and she announces, "Hugs are fun!" A few minutes go by where she's still just chilling next to me and then she announces, "Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose."

Seriously, the child is out of control. This is from Yo Gabba Gabba this morning, I'm pretty sure of it. The songs are stuck in my head, but I'm not sure if it's because of what she said or because that's the episode we watched today.

She's now asking for TMBG's Here Come the ABC's. The kid has good taste.

i turned on yo gabba gabba this morning and cracked up because that is the one episode we have on OnDemand. I know ALL those songs very well by now. i really like that episode.

"put your arms out wide. wrap 'em around squeeze tight. hugs are fun hugs are fun!"

"don't be scared. don't be afraid. all of us look different. say hi to someone new! they could ... they could be a new friend to you!"

i could go on, but i think you get the idea.

needless to say, we did not actually watch it on live television this morning ...

LOL, I know how that goes. It seems whenever we watch certain shows that we don't get to see often, it's always the same episode! How the heck does that work?

So, while reading this, we're sitting here watching TMBG's Here Come the 123's. She turns to me and says, "Not twelve." I had to think about what she was saying (even though it was clear as day). She was repeating a line from one of the songs and I hadn't even realized it. Too funny. She also says, "Monkey typing" when she sees the monkey playing the piano. Heh, love it.

We get those songs stuck in our head all the time :/

I couldn't place it at first when she started saying it, but the more I heard it the more the song finally made itself clear in my head.

Sophie's favorite Yo Gabba Gabba clip is "beaty beat beat beaty beat clap clap." She's always running around the house trying to do it. Mine, of course, is the party in your tummy bit. ;)

LOL yes! I have to admit, there are quite a few catchy little tunes that we like from YGG. I didn't think I'd like the show as much as I do. I'm glad I do, though, because she loves it.

Aww!! I played the ABC's video for her last year but she wasn't interested. Disney shows various videos from the 123's so when I put that in, she seemed to receive it very well. Now she asked for the ABC's and 123's all the time.

I wish there were videos for NO! I know she's fascinated by the interactive CD but she's not quite old enough to do that on her own yet and I think she'd enjoy it more if she could.

That's a good point. Are the ABC videos available online or just on the CD? I've put the CD in the car, you see. Jack will now listen to a few of the songs on ABCS.

I'm pretty sure you can get it online. I know I have it if you want to download from me while you're looking for it at a decent price.

They also have podcasts that might be neat for him to watch. Check out http://tmbw.net/wiki/They_Might_Be_Giants_Podcast if you're interested.
