Such a Gimp!

I've been editing images with The GIMP, and have liked what I've seen so far. I can see all of my images that I've edited when I upload them to LJ when I'm using Firefox but I can't see them using IE. I'm not sure what the heck I'm doing wrong, but that's the only thing I can think of that is different about these images. It doesn't make any sense to me that a simple .jpg file will show in Fx, on my computer, in my LJ gallery, but not in IE.

Anyhow, I've just downloaded Paint.NET to see if I can get anywhere with this program. Fingers crossed it actually works.

Can you point to an image you are having problems with? I have been using gimp for a long time now, and I've never had problems seeing jpgs in IE.

I'm not entirely certain that's what it is that's wrong, but it's the only thing I can think of at this time. All of my pictures have the same security level (public) and are in the same location. I haven't tried hosting them here yet (we're having router slow-down issues).

What I *really* don't understand is just now, when I opened IE to check the images in those posts, I couldn't see the images. I then went to the gallery to see if I could see the images there, and I could, but not thumbnails. I had to click on them. Then, when I went back to my LJ in IE (logged out, mind you), I could see the images fine.

Argh!

Well, I went through and opened all the photos I edited in GIMP and then saved them in Paint.NET and it seems to have resolved the issue. I'm not sure what the deal was, possibly something with the image headers. Maybe I didn't have a setting right or something. Who knows. At least I have my pictures working again. :)
