Snagged from [info]crystella74:

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Midland

"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.

I took this quiz a while ago and my answer was The West which I guess makes sense since I'm from California although I'm stuck in dreary CO.

Interesting that they pile PA in with that analysis. Pittsburghese is very prevalent in Southwestern Pennsylvania and it is definitely an accent. I also find it rather easy to pick out folks from Philadelphia.

Just my opinion on the results they came up with. :-)

The results are good but the states are WAY off. People who live in any of those places have accents and they're not even close to being the same. I, on the other hand, do not have an accent (unless I'm tired and speaking like a lazy ass). No, really! ;)

I have another quiz like this somewhere I've been meaning to take but just haven't gotten around to it yet. It is supposed to be the best test, but who knows/cares?
