This just makes me chuckle. I suppose there is a price to pay for being the cool kid. What *really* makes me laugh about this is there was news this was going to happen even before it was released.

Of course, the price drop doesn't mean I'll be running out to buy an iPhone, old OR new.

My hubby, who is all up on the Apple gossip, told me about it. We both had a little laugh.

I might feel bad if one of my friends bought an iPhone, but I don't think any of them are that silly. What an unbelievable waste of money, really.

B is the one who shared the link with me. I love when he shares fun stuff like that. ;)

I'm still trying to figure why they came out with the iPod Touch. I understand it has a lot of neato features, but it's basically an iPhone without the cellular. Just about the only feature of the iPod Touch is the WiFi.

I haven't heard of the iPod Touch.

In that FOXNews.com article they have an iPhone and iPod Touch side-by-side.

Well if you are willing to pay that much money for a phone I guess money doesn't really matter to you anyway...
No way in hell would I buy one, even at the new "low" price, it's way more money than I'm willing to pay.

Some people will still whine and moan about the fact that they totally got swindled out of $200. Wah.

Exactly. I could probably find a more useful way to spend that sort of money, easily.

Yeah...who didn't see that one coming....

I won't be getting one because, while I am a fan of apple products, I hate monopolies...and I'm not switching my provider just to get a spiffy phone.

Even though we're already with Cingular/AT&T, we won't be bothering with the iPhone either. It's more than either of us need. B is interested in the iPod Touch, but I don't think he'll be getting one any time soon.
