I love our crazy winter weather here. Sure, I miss the giant snowfalls and the beautiful fall colors and the obvious differences between seasons. It's days like yesterday that feed my craving for snow. However, it's days like today that make the nasty summers completely worth their torture. The thing I hated most about living up north wasn't the snow, it was how long the snow lasted. I hated the blinding glare of the sun bouncing off the white stuff, the everlasting snow banks, the slushy mess when all the massive mounds of snow finally decide to melt. Thankfully, I don't have to deal with that here. Snow in the Metroplex is typically a "here today, gone tomorrow" sort of thing, and quite honestly, that's just fine with me. By the time the sun went down the day after our "major snowstorm," the snow was almost completely gone.

This is an extremely heavy video post. There are eight more videos behind the cut. Sophie was having a blast playing in her room while I was trying to tidy it last night. I was having a blast watching her being crazy. Yeah, some of these might get old after a while, but remember, whenever I post video, it's mostly so my family gets a chance to see her.

In all of these videos, whatever she's wearing she has chosen to wear on her own. Well, she just asked for a dress and agreed the one I picked was fine, but other than that... Yeah.

The videos actually get shorter near the end. I didn't really mean to be taking three or four minute videos. I just lose track of time when I'm watching her be silly like that.

Today, while minding my own business, out of the blue I receive the following IM (on AIM).

With Easter just around the corner, hardboiled eggs will be much easier to come by for many people. I love hardboiled eggs, but sometimes am just so annoyed by peeling them and getting egg shell everywhere. B found a great article the other day (not sure how he stumbled across it) and since he shared it with me, I decided to give it a try. I had just boiled eggs the other night for salads, so this was perfect timing. Well, technically, I steamed them, but that's neither here nor there. Anyhow, I can now say I have successfully blown a hardboiled egg out of its shell! It is worth learning, seriously. B tried it this morning and was equally impressed.

Nothing of any importance to see here. Considering redoing the profile page so saving the current one since there's a ton of info there.
